I'm from the Des Moines metro, growing up in a nearby city named Ankeny. I am majoring in Biomedical Engineering, in the Cellular Engineering focus area, and came to the university due to its strong background in medical - based research. I enjoy doing things like reading, playing card games, and playing video games in my free time. While the classes I've taken and the research I am currently doing have been a significant help in determining what I want to do post undergrad, I am still unsure of what my exact path will be. Currently, I am leaning towards attending a graduate program that focuses in either stem cells (& regenerative medicine) or cancer biology.
